I’ve played the guitar off and on for most of my life (although not particularly well!). And I collect guitars too, both electric and acoustic. For purity of line, what else can compare to this distinctly iconic American art form — hand-crafted from Spruce, Mahogany, Rosewood, Ebony and Abalone! So whether you admire Strats, Les Pauls, Gretches or Martins, I thought you’d be seduced by this beautifully hand-made series of knives from Buck, the family-run business now in its 5th generation of Buck family employees.
Inlaid — Like the finest acoustic guitars from Martin, Santa Cruz, or Kevin Ryan, Buck’s Guitar Series Knives feature streaked Indian Rosewood or exotic Cocobolo wood handles. Note the inlaid herringbone purfling, which exactly echoes the inlay shown on our Martin 00-37 Steve Miller Signature Edition steel string — but here it’s used to suggest frets. And the beautifully pearlescent, inlaid Abalone dots faithfully represent the position markers on the fretboard.
Each of the three knives in the Guitar Series are hand-crafted and hand-numbered in a Limited Edition of only 1000 pieces, and we have acquired just 200 of each. Lastly, Chairman Chuck Buck has agreed to hand-engrave the tang on each Guitar Series Knife, for Herrington customers only, making these the rarest (and most collectible) of the rare! Includes harness leather sheath and Certificate of Authenticity.
