Red wines are usually served too warm, near room temperature, instead of within the correct wine cellar range of 54º- 64ºF. As a result, you lose much of the bouquet and character you paid for. Inside the sleek spout, a refrigerated stainless-steel coil chills the wine (not the bottle), as you pour. The thumb-actuated control valve adjusts the flow of wine to achieve your preferred temperature — actually drops the temperature instantly by 10º-20ºF depending on wine flow. And the stainless-steel tubing preserves the taste, exactly as the winemaker intended. Insulated shell acts as a thermos, keeping coils chilled sufficiently long to savor the entire bottle.
