If you are attempting to order from behind a firewall, you may be getting errors, or simply are unable to order. Unfortunately, there is no way at the present time to receive orders from customers behind a firewall and guarantee the security of the transaction. Therefore, if you are attempting to place an order, and your system is behind a firewall, we suggest you place your order over the telephone. Just call our sales staff at (866) 558-7467 and we will gladly help you place your order.

Here is a quick guide to clearing your browser's cache, which can resolve many problems you may be experiencing with the site.

Netscape – In Netscape, from the top menu bar, click on "Options". In the dropdown menu, select the listing for "Preferences". A new window will open. In that window, within the list on the left, there will be a listing for "Advanced". Double click on this listing. Then in the right, you should see some new options. Click on the button to "Clear Memory Cache", then click "OK" to confirm. Then click on "Clear Disk Cache", and again, click "OK" to confirm. You can now close the "Preferences" window and resume navigating the site.

Internet Explorer – To clear the cache with the Internet Explorer browser, first go to the top menu bar and click on "Tools". Then select "Internet Options". A new window will open up. In this window, click on the "Delete Files" button in the "Temporary Internet Files" area. Then below that, click on the "Clear History" button in the "History" area. You can now close the "Internet Options" window and resume navigating the site.

Cookies -Your browser has to be set to accept cookies before you can place an order at herringtoncatalog.com. In most cases browsers accept cookies by default, but if you're having trouble ordering or ordering more than one item, you may need to change settings to enable cookies.

To enable cookies:

PC Users
Internet Explorer 5.5 and higher: Go to Tools: Internet Options: Security. Select Internet, then Custom Level. You may need to scroll to see the options for enabling cookies.

Netscape 4: Go to Edit: Preferences: Advanced.

Netscape 7: Go to Edit: Preferences: Privacy and Security.

Mac Users
OS9: Under the Apple menu, select Control Panels: Configuration Manager. Under Receiving Files, select cookies and then select "Never Ask."

OSX, IE: On the top toolbar, click Explorer then go to Preferences: Cookies. Select "Never Ask."

OSX, Safari: On the top toolbar, select Preferences: Security.
