Meet Kevin Beard, head of Piloti Motorsports. Kevin holds a B.S. in Product Design from the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena (the Ford GT, Porsche Carrera GT, and the fabulous Ferrari Enzo were all designed by Art Center alumni). Kevin focused on interior design, and then made quite a name for himself at Adidas, Reebok and K-Swiss, leading a resurgence in sales for each with his forward-thinking designs. Launching Piloti Motorsports, Kevin sought to create a serious driving shoe for enthusiasts, that could be worn comfortably around town. Boy, has he succeeded!

Heel-and-Toe - The suede Prototipo gives you precise pedal feel in a lightweight shoe, cut low for ankle flexibility. Kevin's patented Roll Control spherical heel places added cushioning behind and under your heels, which bear most of your weight while driving. The rubber tread, patterned after vintage Dunlop racing tires, wraps up the heel back for durability and extra grip on the floor. Tread also protects the lateral outside of the right shoe for secure heel-and-toe downshifts, and for added right-foot grip against the footwell.

But enough about performance! What really separates the Prototipo from ordinary driving mocs is the foam-cushioned midsole that echoes athletic-shoe construction, providing unbelievable comfort out of the car. Soft suede coddles your feet, and a breathable stretch-mesh tongue keeps your feet ventilated - even when the cockpit heats up! Choose Black/Yellow, Black/Orange, Black/White, Navy, British Green/White, or French Blue; men's 1/2 sizes 7-12, 13, 14, 15.

Lusso - Piloti's Lusso ("Luxury" in Italian) features glove-soft, perforated leather uppers that look, feel and smell like the fine Connolly leather hides found in the interiors of the great Ferrari GT's of the 1950's and 1960's that comprise the Herrington Collection.

Inside, Piloti adds a lavish pigskin leather lining to create a true GT shoe. With the same performance features as the Prototipo, the Lusso's more refined look transitions easily from Laguna Seca to Stillwater Cove, the 5-star main dining room in the Lodge at Pebble Beach.
