Men's Beretta Barrier Sweater LS926
Discovered in London, the Beretta Barrier Sweater That Keeps You Warm in the Wind — Or in Bone-Chilling Damp and Cold.
Men's Beretta Barrier Sweater
Fabbrica d'Armi Pietro
Beretta S.p.A., or
simply "Beretta" to
James Bond, "Q",
and other
connoisseurs
of quality, is
the world's
oldest
firm,
enduring
for
nearly
500
years of
continuous operation! They are, of
course, the world's most respected
gunmaker, and as I discovered recently in England, makers
also of exceptionally fine sportswear. Located on venerable
St. James Street, right around the corner from the historic
Ritz on Picadilly, Beretta's London salon is one of just six such
Galleries worldwide. Invited to spend the weekend shooting clays in
chilly Yorkshire, well north of London, I desperately needed suitable clothing both casual yet
functional — so I turned to Beretta. Here are a few of my favorite acquisitions. The Barrier
Sweater comes in both quarter and
full-zip models, in a rugged Italian
wool weave that puts nature's
finest insulator between your
body and bone chilling cold.
Inside, the Beretta Wind
Proof liner — a
breathable, quiet, yet
remarkably effective membrane
— completely blocks cold wind from
penetrating. So you stay warm and dry, yet never clammy, as
moisture freely escapes. Ribbed knit cuffs and bottom
keep drafts out; stand-up collar lined in fleece for
comfort. And twill patches on the shoulders are
a nod to Beretta's sporting heritage. Choose
Loden, Grey or Heather Brown Sweater in
men's M-XXXL. Select Red, White,
Black or Navy Long-Sleeve Tee Shirt in S-XXXL.
