I was sitting at the counter at the Yankee Doodle Diner in New Haven not long ago, when it hit me. A quick spray of water on the hot griddle, a resulting burst of steam, a little elbow grease, and presto! — the griddle was like new again. Why not a similar approach for backyard barbeques?
