Our patented Propane Tank Scale uses a sensitive electronic scale and LED warning lights to make sure your barbecue never sputters and dies with raw hamburgers on the grill. Invented by Al Werner, a Herrington Catalog customer for over a decade, and the genius who invented electronic platform scales accurate enough to weigh large (anesthetized!) zoo animals in order to maintain their health.
 Your propane tank weighs far less than a Bengal Tiger, but the principle is the same (Anheiser-Busch just bought one of Al’s scales to weigh its Clydesdales!). A five LED panel translates your tank’s weight into quarter-tank increments. As the tank empties, the LEDs go dark — until only the “refill” light is on. No more guesswork! Uses 2 AA’s (included).
