When Jack Nicklaus journeyed to Scotland in July 2005, it was to pay his respects to The Old Course at St. Andrews, the birthplace of golf. And Jack wanted to give golf's most knowledgeable and loyal fans a chance to see the three-time Open Champion compete one last time in the British Open. Jack didn't make the cut, but no one will ever forget his bittersweet, emotional farewell as he paused atop the historic Swilcan Bridge for the last time.

So memorable was the occasion, that the Royal Bank of Scotland honored Jack by issuing a commemorative 5-pound banknote bearing his likeness — only the second living person (along with her Majesty the Queen) to be immortalized on Scottish currency — which quickly sold out. Our "Farewell to the Open" features one of these rare and collectible 5-pound notes, along with a poignant, 11"x 14" portrait of The Golden Bear, in the twilight of his career astride the Swilcan Bridge. Beautifully framed under glass, double-matted in a 21"x 27" cherry-stained frame, and officially licensed by Jack Nicklaus.
