Nestled at the base of the Dolomite Mountains in northeast Italy, the town of Maniago is renowned for its knife making heritage. Founded in 1969 by Gino and Cesarina Pauletta, Lionsteel adopted new CNC technologies, advanced design software and IT solutions when their three sons joined the firm many years later. These cutting-edge technologies allow Lionsteel to meticulously craft this sleek yet rugged knife's handle from a single piece of Ergal aluminum (stronger than aircraft grade), providing a durable, rock solid grip. Satin finished Sleipner blade is a high alloy, high-carbon steel hardened to 60-61 HRC for razor-sharpness and superior edge retention. Included tool allows you to reposition the clip for right/left hand carry or remove it completely, as well as adjust the blade tension. With a simple turn of the patented RotoBlock safety system, the blade can be locked in the full-open, fixed blade position for confident cutting. Each blade is etched with the Lionsteel logo, as well as the knife's famous designer's name, Molletta, for a finishing touch that makes this everyday carry both practical and exceptionally attractive. Clip attachment doubles as glass-breaking point. Steel lock bar. 3" blade; overall 7" long; weighs 3.8 oz. Made in Italy.
